Here's a list of companies that are okay (and not okay) with non-profit fan games (fan games that don't make any money and are made because the developers are passionate). I've mentioned examples of their IPs that won't include every single one, but notable examples.
These companies are within their right to shut down a fan game project. It's their IP so they protect it. Please don't go hating or boycotting companies who do. It sucks, I know. I want to see these projects happen. A fan project will likely cease to be if a company is releasing an official game of their IP, which makes sense. Not to mention mediocre fan games can impact sales m
